I found this about the dancing guy from all around the world.

"The response to the first video brought Matt to the attention of the nice people at Stride gum. They asked Matt if he'd be interested in taking another trip around the world to make a new video. Matt asked if they'd be paying for it. They said yes. Matt thought this sounded like another very good idea.

In 2006, Matt took a 6 month trip through 39 countries on all 7 continents. In that time, he danced a great deal.

The second video made Matt even more quasi-famous. In fact, for a brief period in July, he was semi-famous.

Things settled down again, and then in 2007 Matt went back to Stride with another idea. He realized his bad dancing wasn't actually all that interesting, and that other people were much better at being bad at it. He showed them his inbox, which, as a result of his semi-famousness, was overflowing with emails from all over the planet. He told them he wanted to travel around the world one more time and invite the people who'd written him to come out and dance too.

The Stride people thought that sounded like yet another very good idea, so they let him do it. And he did. And now it's done. And he hopes you like it."

This is his website.

Why ?

Posted by Beamer at 2:38 PM

I guess because this is a new fad amongst bloggers.

"Lets take really awful events in our life and dredge them up from the past and bring them to the Internet for all to see and read and find humorous all for our readers."

Its Kind of an unwritten trend, of course till Now.

So do I join in with this trend? Well actually I already have with the swimming/drowning/skiing incident where I was informed "You mean your face was skiing!"

Quite true.

So actually I could leave it at this.

This is a post.

I don't really have to go there today.

Whew.

Must be nice. I keep thinking of all the behind the scenes stuff that had to take place to pull this off.

And then there are outtakes.

I realize that I get visitors from all over the world and some of you may not know who David Letterman is, But I found this Video and found it very profound. This was His first show back after the attacks on 9 - 11 and I think it is very important that we do not forget all the mayhem that took place that fateful day:

Me waterskiing

I seem to be in a bit of a dry spell finding something new and fresh, so I shall regale you with something from my past. Aren't you lucky?

The one and only time I went water skiing was about 15 years ago. A partner of mine had a boat that we took out to a lake with some family members of his. They all had their turns at skiing and then it was mine.

I was told the end result was that I was using too short of skis. Yeah right.

I have told you in the past I have what the doctors refer to as a weight problem. Well, I weighed 265 lbs going into High School, at 14. Last time I got weighed I was at 330 lbs.. I'm 6'4" tall. I am a big guy.

Ok, I am no artist at least when it comes to drawing people. But this is an illustration of what transpired. Actually the rope should be below the water level and all that should be above the water level would be me above my armpits. You take in the wake I was forming and I was lucky I didn't drown. I was skiing. Just my skis were 5 and a half feet under the water. It was sad.

I got an email that touted all the things this web page says isn't true at the very bottom of the page, I just think it's a good idea to be aware of this problem involving your email and a possible virus problem.

My grandson's rating Sysytem

My wife went and picked Up our grandson at my daughters house.

On the ride back, with my 2 year old grandson secured in the back seat and my wife the only other person in the car, he started to ask questions, sort of.

Gwama - This meant he wanted to ask my wife something, her being Gwama.

Ky-yole - That was him asking about where my son was. She told him he was at work.

PaPa - That was him asking about me. She told him I was at home.

Jammers - This is the cat that has kind of adopted us and lives outside. My wife feeds him and The grandson loves this cat. She told him that Jammers was at home.

I'm glad to see I rate above Jammers the cat.

This picture of an Army soldier in Iraq with his tiny ‘plot’ of grass in front of his tent is heartwarming! Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq, stationed in a big sand box. He asked his wife to send him dirt ( U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil — to bring them good luck.

Baked Turkey legs

Baked Turkey Leg and Thigh Meat

INGREDIENTS

* 1 1/2 Tbs celery seeds
* 1 turkey leg and thigh
* 4 tablespoons softened butter
* 1 Tbs Garlic powder
* 1 Tbs Cajun Spice
* 1/2 Tbs Black pepper
* 1/2 cup water, or as needed
* 1/3 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
* 1 1/2 Tbs White vinegar
* 1 tsp Ground chili flakes
* 1 1/2 tsp Ground Red chili powder
* 1/2 tsp hot sauce
* 1/2 Tbs Dill
* 1/2 Tbs Basil Leaves

DIRECTIONS

1.) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Rinse the turkey legs and pat dry.
2.) Take the butter and the dry Ingredients and combine with a spoon in a small bowl.
3.) Stand the turkey leg upright (as if the turkey were standing). Press a sharp knife downward into the deep tissue, creating 3 long pockets. Press a small amount of seasoned butter into each opening. Pull back the skin on the leg and the thigh and rub with seasoned butter. Put the skin back into place and rub with more seasoned butter.
4.) Add liquid ingredients in a Roasting Pan. Stir and Lay the leg and Thigh in the roasting pan. Cover Roasting Pan.
5.) Roast for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until the legs have an internal temperature of 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) when taken with a meat thermometer.

Okay, there are certain Recipes that I create that just kick some major butt, in my book. This would easily fall into this category. Oh My Gawd! I was really surprised by the flavor of the turkey meat when it came to the eating of this rather plain poultry.
I separated the Leg and thigh at the junction before cooking. I also deglazed the pan after cooking by adding a little more water and using a wooden spoon, gently warmed up the drippings on the stove top and scrubbed the inside of the roasting pan with the spoon. This will be some awesome turkey stock, I am sure.

I highly recommend you give this a try if your a fan of the dark meat in Turkey.

Black Beans, Rice and Pork

Posted by Beamer at 1:29 AM

June 10th, 2008

I was needing a recipe for a can of black beans I had yesterday, so I came up with this concoction. Came out tasting pretty damn good, especially for black beans.

Ingredients:
4 oz. Bar-b-qued Pork, thinly sliced, small cubes
1 15 oz. can S & W Black Beans
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup White Onion, diced
1/2 tsp Celery seed
2 Tbs Rue
2/3 cup White rice, cooked
1 tsp Chicken stock Powder
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 Tbs Cajun Spice
1 1/2 Tbsp Butter
1 1/2 tsp Cooking oil
1 Tbs ground black pepper
2 Tbs Minced Garlic
1 Tbs Green chili sauce
1 tsp crushed chili

Directions:
In a large metal sauté pan, Open up one can of S & W Black Beans and pour into the sauté Pan. Use 1/2 the water to clean out the inside of the can, pouring the remains into the sauté pan. Put heat on Medium low. Add the pork. Add the brown sugar and stir in brown sugar gently. In a small sauté pan add butter, crushed chili, cooking oil, onions, pepper and garlic. Sauté Onions over medium heat until translucent. Heat remainder of water and add Chicken stock. I used the microwave oven. Dissolve the chicken stock in the water and add to the beans. Add celery seed, Green Chili sauce, White rice, and sautéed onions. Cover the skillet and Heat till bubbling, stirring gently to dissolve rue and stir in ingredients.

You could cook up 1/4 pound of pork or hamburger ahead of time and add it instead of the Bar-b-qued pork. I was using left overs I had. You could also leave out the rice if you want. I'd just double up on the rue.

If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Update: As of 6 / 18 / 2008 I have made this dish 3 times. The last Time I had a 30 0z can of black beans, so I doubled up on all the ingredients and used a sauce pan instead of the saute skillet to put the beans into. I used Bar-b-qued chicken instead of the pork. You Might want to cut back on the Chili flakes with the chili, unless you like it spicy. It turned out good as well.

One more time with feeling ...

Ok, I have a weight problem. Have had most of my 52 years. It's not that I have the weight problem so much as doctors don't like the weight I have been at. So Wednesday I decide to get serious and start working out again.

I had purchased a fit ball about a year ago and it sat in the box. I finally blew the thing up and started using it Thursday. Found out the hard way that because I have suffered from Motion sickness since 5th grade, I am now having to be very careful of what I do on this huge soft blown up rubber ball.

I am not used to having to lay quietly on my bed after working out while the stomach calms down and return back to accepting water with out rushing to try and expel said water. I didn't see that one coming.

It just dawned on me ...

(Stupid date thing) Anyway, I was checking out an old post of mine and it dawned on me that the person in charge of the Burger King where I had gotten the disgusting customer service never once responded to what I informed her of. I guess he though it not worth her time to respond to me. Well Guess what Lady? It is still very fresh in my mind the absolutely lousy service I got there that day and how your disgusting crew treated me. You screwed up big time. I hope they have replaced you with some one that gives a damn.

Maybe I should try a higher up in the Burger King business. I know what my wife would say: Let it go! But in certain areas of my life I am quite a bit like a pit bull, very tenacious. And my wife doesn't read my blog. So, I'll think about it.
